Lithuanian Short Film Agency Lithuanian Shorts in an independent non-profit organisation that was established in 2012. The main goal of the agency is to take care of a systematic and coordinated presentation of Lithuanian short films nationally as well as internationally.

Lithuanian Shorts is a multifunctional organisation, involving the publishing of a catalogue of the best Lithuanian Shorts, curating an online platform (lithuanianshorts.com), built primarily as a database to store information about short films from Lithuania. Lithuanian Shorts collaborates with various national and international organisations, film festivals and cinemas, programmes short films and promotes Lithuanian short film industry throughout European markets: Clermont-Ferrand, Berlinale, Cannes and others.

Agency organizes Vilnius International Short Film Festival, Baltic short film pitching forum Baltic Pitching Forum, Baltic short film script development residency Baltic Shorts Residency, International Short Film Day celebration, Lithuanian Shorts Mentorship for women working in Lithuanian cinema and TV industries.

Lithuanian Shorts is a member of a world-wide non-profit association for the short film promotion Short Film Conference and the European Network of Short Film and Video Art Distributors Short Circuit.

Baltic Pitching Forum
The international 7-member panel selects two Best Short Film Projects, one is awarded with participant rights at the European Short Film Co-production Forum EURO CONNECTION that is a part of the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival and other is awarded with participant rights at European Short Pitch organised by NISI MASA. Lithuanian producers’ jury will select one more project which will be given Lithuanian Producers MEDIA Award (1000 €), this initiative is co-organized with the Creative Europe Desk Lithuania MEDIA office under the Lithuanian Film Centre.


Vilnius International Short Film Festival
There are two competitions: International and National (only Lithuanian Short Films). International Jury selects three winners: Best Animation, Best Documentary and Best Fiction. National Jury selects Best Lithuanian Short Film.

Rimante Daugelaite

(Head of Lithuanian Shorts)

Rimante Daugelaite is a managing director of Lithuanian Short Film Agency Lithuanian Shorts from 2012 and a head of Vilnius International Short Film Festival from 2009. Rimante has been working in audiovisual industry for nearly 10 years and coordinated multiple projects such as International Cross Media Conference Cross Media ZEN, Film Programme of International Thomas Mann Festival, also she produced several Lithuanian short films. R. Daugelaite did an internship at Baltic Film and Media School in Estonia, also participated at international talent development programme Berlinale Talents, European emerging producers workshops MAIA Workshops, etc.
