Arthouse Asia Film Festival

India

festival

Arthouse Asia Film Festival is South Asia’s only industry focus boutique film festival. Over the last five years, Arthouse Asia has worked hard to create an equity for its small boutique festival in Kolkata along with “KoPro”, a vibrant industry platform, which strives to foster more co-productions between the Indian subcontinent, i.e., South Asia and the rest of the world. This journey began as a small initiative but  dreamt of changing the landscape of cinema in the Indian subcontinent.

Our goal is to cultivate a dedicated viewership of young audiences that will support, inspire and breathe fresh life into arthouse cinema. An integral part of this process is also to empower and upskill aspiring filmmakers to overcome all adversities and chart a new path in world cinema. Arthouse Asia is not limited to curating this festival but pursues its commitment to cinema through activities and collaborations throughout the year spread across the Indian subcontinent. Kolkata, the home of A2FF, bears the legacy and continues in the glorious tradition of some of the greatest thinkers, philosophers and artists in history. Through A2FF, we seek to freshly connect Kolkata to the world in the hope of fostering a sensibility that is becoming of the 21st century.
